Legendary Texan performs for one night only

Legendary Texan raised, singer, songwriter, actor, guitarist Steve Earle will be performing one show only at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center April 28. Steve Earle has been nominated for 14 Grammy Awards and has won 3. A protege of legendary songwriters Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, Earle quickly became a master storyteller in his own right, with his songs being recorded by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, Travis Tritt, The Pretenders, Joan Baez and countless others. 1986 saw the release of his debut record, Guitar Town, which shot to number one on the country charts and immediately established the term “New Country.”

Steve Earle’s Copperhead Road album went gold and he was nominated for an Emmy Award in the Music and Lyrics category, for the song "This City," which was written for the television series Treme.
